American Barack Obama?

There are two questions which when asked seem to be very strange ones indeed when they are asked by both Americans and foreigners alike. Whilst the questions in themselves are valid ones ,since they betray the huge curiosity that this man has generated throughout the world, they may at first seem rather bizarre when you take into account, that he was running for the top job in the United States of America.

What are the questions well they are related.
  1. What nationality is Barack Obama?

    AND

  2. Is Barack Obama a natural born citizen [of the United States]
They are as I said valid questions for people who may not be familiar with the constitution of the United States of America. But would seem quite weird to someone who is American who lives in the US, or has studied the US consititution since no foreign citizen naturalised or not can run for the highest office in the land, that of the office of President, whilst they can run for other government posts such as Governor (e.g. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Govenor of California)

To answer rhe questions, you need only read one of Barack Obama's books, listen to his Democratic National Congress (DNC) speech from 2004, or any number of speeches that President-elect Barack Obama has made.

Barack Obama was born in Hawaii which is one of the 50 states in the Union. His mother was from Kansas a white woman. His father was an African born in a small village in Kenya, who was studying in Hawaii when he met Barack's mother.

This means the answer to the first question is Barack Obama's nationality American, the answer to the second question is Yes, he is a natural born citizen since he was born in America and had an American mother.

Barack Obama Speeches

Barack Obama is an excellent orator. His speeches are moving and inspire people to think better about themselves and their country. Barack Obama does not only inspire Americans, he inspires people all over the world.

As the first African American to be elected President, Barack Obama has smashed the racial divide and shown that in this great country, anyone can do anything, they can get the top job if they work hard and hope and strive for their goals.

Another thing that helps President Elect Obama stand out is that he has the audacity to hope. He didn't let people deter him from his dream of serving his country and his people.

When Barack Obama makes a speech, he is greated by crowds in the hundreds of thousands. A quarter of a million people turned up to see him deliver his acceptance speech in Grant Park, Chicargo late on Tuesday night.

You can watch his acceptance speech on YouTube or on any of the other news networks as well as on his own campaign website barackobama.com.

The Audacity of Hope

The Audacity of HopeBarack Obama's inaugural best selling book, Dreams from My Father, was a persuasive and soul-stirring memoir centering on personal issues of race, identity, and community.

With his second book The Audacity of Hope, President Elect Obama meshes ideas evoked in his keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, shares individual perspectives on faith and values and offers up a vision of the future that necessitates fixing a "political process that is broken" and mending a government that has lost touch with the people.

You can buy The Audacity of Hope from Amazon. It is well worth a read and we'll write some more about the book based on reviews written by people who have bought the book and who have a good understanding of the contents adn are able to give a good account of how well it is written and how well President-elect Barack Obama puts across his ideas on paper.
